Juno Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
Juno ("Juno," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Amir Capital LLC, doing business as Mirai Labs ("Mirai Labs"). Juno is a companion app for people using GLP-1 medications to organize their meals, protein, doses, supply, symptoms, weight, and reminders. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
Our privacy commitments
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not use your health information for ads or for any purpose other than providing the app's features.
- Your data is encrypted in transit (via TLS) and is isolated to your account via per-user access controls.
Information we collect
We collect the following, all linked to your account unless noted:
Account and contact information
- Name - your profile name.
- Email address - used to sign you in (one-time code) and for your account.
Health and fitness information (the core of the app)
- Weight and body metrics, goal weight, medications and doses, titration history, dose schedule, supply/refill info, symptoms, mood check-ins, appetite, health conditions you choose to enter (which may include sensitive details such as pregnancy or diabetes), activity level, and the personalized plan and provider reports generated from this data.
- With your permission, weight and related metrics read from and written back to Apple Health (HealthKit).
Content you provide
- Photos - meal photos and an optional profile photo.
- Other content - messages to the in-app AI companion, notes, and meal descriptions (including text transcribed on your device from voice input).
Identifiers
- User ID - your Juno account identifier.
- Device token - used to deliver push notifications.
Purchases
- Subscription/purchase history - to manage your subscription and entitlements.
Usage and diagnostics
- Product-usage analytics - which screens and features are used, to understand and improve the app (first-party analytics; not used for advertising or cross-app tracking).
- Diagnostics - crash, performance, and error data to keep the app stable. Diagnostic reports are scrubbed of personal and health information before they leave your device or our servers, and are not linked to your identity (only a non-identifying, hashed reference is attached).
We do not collect precise or coarse location, payment card details (Apple handles purchases), your contacts/address book, browsing history, or advertising identifiers (IDFA).
How we use your information
- Provide the service - authenticate you, sync your data across devices, and run the app's features.
- Personalize your plan - compute your targets, trajectory, reminders, and AI-assisted suggestions from the information you provide.
- AI features - generate meal estimates, plan narratives, recaps, and companion replies (see "AI processing" below).
- Notifications - send the dose, meal, hydration, refill, and progress reminders you enable.
- Subscriptions - manage your premium access.
- Improve and secure the app - product analytics, crash/performance diagnostics, fraud prevention, and security.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, our own advertising/marketing targeting, or any "tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
AI processing
Some features use AI models to interpret what you log (for example, estimating a meal from a photo or text, or writing a plan summary). To provide these features, the relevant input is processed by our AI provider, OpenRouter, which routes the request to a model provider (such as Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic). For features like the AI companion, we send only the information necessary for personalization: your logged medication, dose, supply, symptoms, weight, and nutrition targets, but not your personal name or email. The app applies safety rules to every AI feature (the AI does not provide medical advice, suggest dose changes, or give medical guidance), and AI output is approximate and clearly editable by you. AI estimates are not medical advice.
How we share information
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers ("processors") that help us run Juno, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing their service to us:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Backend hosting, database, authentication, and file storage |
| OpenRouter (and the model providers it routes to) | AI meal/plan/coaching features |
| PostHog | First-party product analytics |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management |
| Sentry | Crash and error diagnostics (scrubbed of personal/health data) |
| Apple | App distribution, in-app purchases, push notifications, and HealthKit (on-device) |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to this Policy.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you connect Apple Health, Juno reads the metrics you authorize (such as weight) and can write your logged weight back to Health. Information obtained through HealthKit is used only to provide app features, is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or shared with third parties for their own use, consistent with Apple's requirements. You can revoke access anytime in the Health app or iOS Settings.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit via TLS, per-user access controls (row-level security) so your data is isolated to your account, and least-privilege access on our backend. Database storage is managed by Supabase, a PostgreSQL provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our systems (some records may persist briefly in backups and limited audit logs as required for security and legal compliance, then are removed).
Your rights and choices
- Access and export - you can export a complete copy of your data anytime from Settings, then Export my data.
- Delete - you can permanently delete your account and data from Settings, then Delete account.
- Correct - you can edit your profile and logged data in the app.
- Notifications and Health - you control reminders in Settings and Health access in iOS.
- Regional rights - depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor these rights; contact us to exercise them. We do not "sell" or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
International users
Juno is operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using Juno you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
Children's privacy
Juno is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Your continued use of Juno after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
